Paycheck Protection Program
We Care About Texans
The Coronavirus pandemic continues to impact every aspect of our American way of life. Congress has passed an extension of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to provide financial assistance to small businesses across the country.
Guaranty Bank & Trust N.A. will be participating in the next round of PPP called the “Second Draw” loan program. The second Draw will be for businesses that received a PPP “First Draw” loan. Guaranty Bank & Trust N.A. will also participate in the re-opening of the PPP First Draw loan program, for businesses who did not receive a PPP loan in 2020.
Beginning Tuesday, January 19th, the SBA will open both loan programs to all SBA lenders. Guaranty Bank & Trust NA will begin accepting applications for both the PPP First Draw and PPP Second Draw loan programs (Texas-based businesses only) on January 19th.
First Draw loans generally follow the original loan parameters of the PPP loan program. The re-opening of the First Draw program is primarily intended for businesses who were unable to access the program previously. The maximum loan size is $10 million for businesses with less than 500 employees. Please see the attached summary titled “Paycheck Protection Program First Draw Loans” and the link to www.sba.gov/ppp.
Second Draw loans are designed for businesses who received a First Draw loan and need to borrow additional funds for their business. Second Draw loans are limited to $2 million for businesses with less than 300 employees. Second draw borrowers have to show a 25% decline in revenues from 2019 to 2020 in order to be eligible. Please see the attached summary titled “Paycheck Protection Program Second Draw Loans” and the link to www.sba.gov/ppp.
